Recent years of market developments, including the pandemic, war and inflation, have created significant challenges for the construction industry. For JM, this has meant a need for alternative solutions, closer dialogue with suppliers and the ability to adapt contracts and material choices without compromising on quality or cost frameworks. At the same time, a strong procurement function is required to coordinate supply and maintain strategic coherence.
Coreco’s consultant acted as a category manager, with responsibility for areas such as structural completion and building services installations. We contributed both operationally and strategically by supporting JM’s procurement department in the development of framework agreements, supplier dialogues and decision support. In close collaboration with JM’s product development and technical specialists, we identified alternative solutions that met both functional and commercial requirements. Our role strengthened JM’s procurement capability and enabled continued efficient supply despite volatile market conditions.
