Rapid growth meant that local routines often varied between regions and projects. For SBB, this created a need to standardise approaches to apartment refurbishments in order to increase efficiency, reduce costs and ensure consistent quality across the entire portfolio.
Together with SBB, Coreco developed a standardised approach for apartment refurbishments. The work included mapping existing routines, developing common processes and identifying cost saving opportunities within both materials procurement and contracting. For SBB’s central region, this has resulted in annual savings of many millions and a significantly more efficient refurbishment process.
