Volvo – investment programme Campus Lundby

Building the vehicles of the future requires extensive buildings and facilities. A company with a long history, largely located on the same site, has a vast property portfolio developed across different eras and for different needs. How can this portfolio be brought into the future?

How we supported the project

  • Strategic development
  • Collaboration concept
  • Evaluation strategy

Volvo Fastigheter is developing Campus Lundby in Gothenburg through an extensive investment programme comprising 20 to 22 new buildings with a total floor area of nearly 200,000 square metres. The initiative aims to modernise and expand Volvo’s operational environments on Hisingen.

A project of this scale requires clear collaboration strategies, effective project governance and well functioning procurement processes. To ensure quality, cost control and strong delivery conditions, Volvo needed a structured approach for both early phases and the execution of collaborative contracting models.

Coreco has, together with Volvo Fastigheter, developed strategies and collaboration concepts that are being applied in the initial projects. Following successful results in phase one, we also took part in the delivery phase two through our collaboration and procurement consultants. The work has contributed to a robust approach to project governance and an effective model for delivering the upcoming construction phases within the large scale investment programme.
