Strategy Development for Forshedagruppen

Forshedagruppen aims to be the natural professional partner for construction projects by offering flexible and cost efficient end to end solutions. With a focus on tailored customer solutions and efficient production, the group works continuously to develop and meet the needs of the market, both now and in the future.

Forshedagruppen works with acquisitions and business development of companies within the construction sector and related products, with the ambition of becoming a professional builder’s one stop shop. The objective is to deliver everything a construction project requires that can be prefabricated.

Forshedagruppen is currently in a strong growth phase and has, over recent years, acquired a number of companies operating within the construction industry.

The management team aims to leverage the group’s newly achieved economies of scale and has therefore decided to strengthen its capabilities within procurement and logistics. Initial analyses indicate opportunities to, among other things, consolidate the supplier base and improve assortment management.

At the same time, Forshedagruppen is seeking support from external advisors in the development of its procurement and logistics organisation. The group also requires assistance in streamlining processes and systems to further strengthen its market position and customer offering within industrialised housing production.

Today, the group has significant opportunities through a wide range of capabilities across the organisation, but there is potential to utilise these more effectively. To develop in line with the agreed plan, business development and changes to the current organisation and ways of working are required.

Forshedagruppen aims to ensure that recent acquisitions become a source of strength, enabling continued development of the customer offering while at the same time increasing competitiveness.

With deep knowledge of the construction process and the market, Coreco supported Forshedagruppen by leading and facilitating a strategic development process to identify a clear direction forward.

As part of the work, Coreco helped Forshedagruppen define its strategic direction, key success factors and the gaps between the current state and desired position. By highlighting both existing strengths and customer value propositions, the path ahead became clearer.

The scope also included a high level definition of organisational and system requirements needed to realise the opportunities within the growing group.
